Nature's Ice Palace
at the Hintertux Glacier
Mysterious ice formations, glittering ice crystals in almost mythical surroundings...... discover NATURE'S ICE PALACE at the Hintertux Glacier! A sparkling world of enchanting beauty and nature in its purest form.
The journey into the eternal ice begins only 200 metres from the highest point of the Hintertux Glacier. A secure trail leads from the viewing platform at Gefrorenen Wand (3.250 m) to the palace gates.
Guided tours through Nature's Ice Palace take place daily from 9:30 hrs (by appointment only), 10:30 h, 11:30 h, 12:30 h, 13:30 h and 14:30 h.
The tour takes approx. 1 hour and costs € 8,00 for adults and € 4,00 for children.
Children aged 8 and over will have no problem at all taking part in a tour through Nature's Ice Palace. We recommend sturdy shoes and a jacket. It is also possible to make the tour wearing ski boots. Helmets are provided on site.
