Flying Steps at RISE&FALL
The beginning of the new winter season will be heralded for the third time in succession by the incredible "RISE&FALL" sporting event in Mayrhofen. An exciting relay event with a touch of aggression, perfection, extremes and plenty of emotions and lifestyle during a race both against the clock and other teams.
Audiences can look forward to an action-packed supporting programme at this year's RISE&FALL on 13th December 2014 with a show by the four times world break dancing champions, Flying Steps. The dancers are currently on a world tour with their successful Red Bull Flying Bach show.

Getting in the mood for the "RISE & FALL"
Anticipation for the "RISE & FALL" event is mounting - this exciting relay event with a touch of aggression, perfection, extremes and plenty of emotions and lifestyle during a race both against the clock and other teams takes place on 13.12.2014.
The teams consisting of four participants have to contend with four different sports. RISE: ski touring and mountain biking & FALL: paragliding and skiing or snowboarding.

Crossing the Alps
The Alpine Crossing was officially opened this year. Cross the Alps on foot: from Lake Tegernsee to Lake Achensee and through the Zillertal Valley to Sterzing. The route follows easy to moderate trails, through magnificent and varied landscapes. Cross the Alps on foot - an unforgettable experience.

Erwin Aschenwald Platz'l
Erwin Aschenwald - front man of "Die Mayrhofner" and Zillertal born and bred has done a great deal for the Zillertal Valley and Mayrhofen in particular. He has made our village and the valley a household name - way beyond Austria's borders.
Mayrhofen-Hippach Tourist Board have built the Erwin Aschenwald Platz'l next to the Stillupperhaus in the Stilluptal Valley and dedicated it to our dear friend, Erwin. It was officially opened on 25. September 2014
Schlegeis Alpine Road
The 1.3 km long Schlegeis Alpine Road leads you around eight winding bends and through four natural stone tunnels (height restriction for vehicles over 3.6 m height) to the Schlegeis Reservoir at 1,800 metres above sea level.
The Schlegeis Alpine Road is open until 26th October 2014!
