Tyrolean Schnapps Route
The so-called Schnapps Route exists in Tyrol since 2014. There are 2,500 distilleries in total that have possessed distilling rights since the times of Empress Maria Theresia's reign. Since then, the art of schnapps making has been passed down the generations.
The Tyrolean Schnapps Route also leads through the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region. Here you will find four traditional distilleries that offer visitors a peek into the world of distilling fine spirits.
