Welcome to the electronic walking guide to the Mayrhofen/Hippach Holiday Region

Here you can choose routes from five different categories.

Easy Routes
Easy, wide paths, often very varied circular routes for leisurely walks and strolls. Attractive routes providing enjoyable walks for circa 1 to 3 hours, offering many resting places and play areas; as well as numerous things to experience and places to stop for refreshments. Normal weatherproof clothing and comfortable shoes are sufficient.

Moderate Routes
Unspoilt alpine meadow and mountain footpaths for sporty and enjoyable hikes. The routes go to attractive viewpoints, to beautiful rural destinations and to huts offering refreshments. Alpine experience, sure footedness, an appropriate constitution, good footwear, light trekking clothes and waterproofs are required.

Difficult Routes
The tours through the fantastic mountain landscape will enthral you with their inherent natural beauty and wonderful panoramic views. Challenging high-altitude paths, steep tracks and summit trails, partly with sections made safe for walking and climbing, require good alpine experience, sure footedness, fitness and appropriate mountain gear. They should only be undertaken by experienced alpinists or when accompanied by a mountain guide.

Themed Routes
Our region offers a variety of walks on various themes.

Winter Footpaths
Even in winter there are a diverse number of outstandingly accessible walking routes. You can find further information about the footpaths, e.g. whether they are closed, in the relevant information about the walking route.

We wish you a pleasant and relaxing time in the mountains
