The Organisers
Now in its 13th year, Hippach Brass Band are organisers of the Krapfen Festival. Christian Sporer, chairman of Hippach Brass Band, tells us about how this legendary festival came into being: „I wanted to organise a village festival in Schwendau for some time. This dream turned into reality 13 years ago and we have organised the Zillertal Krapafen Festival every year, ever since.“
Hippach Brass Band has a long history to look back on. It was founded in 1845 and celebrated its 170th anniversary two years ago. The band consists of 64 active musicians. 5 vivandières (daughters of the regiment) and 3 flag bearers.
The Location & Supporting Programme
The imposing village centre of Schwendau and popular Zillertal Krapfen - with either a sweet or cheese filling - are just one highlight amongst the many fresh, regional and homemade specialties that make this food festival an extremely pleasant and enjoyable day trip destination for people of all ages.
