Mayrhofner Advent at the Forest Festival Area
Where the frenetic pace of modern life is replaced by the more tranquil.
"Silent Night - Holy Night" in Mayrhofen im Zillertal
Craftsmen at the Mayrhofen Advent invite you to linger, browse and buy. A range of Zillertal handicrafts are offered including handmade "Doggeln" (felt slippers), carved nativity scenes or various gifts made using natural materials.
Local choirs, carol singers, brass bands and singing Christmas songs together all add to the feeling of Christmas cheer at the Forest Festival Area. A visit to the Advent in Mayrhofen is a particularly special experience for all children. St. Nicholas will be making an appearance and so much more will definitely put a smile on their faces.
It’s a 300 metre walk from Mayrhofen’s main street through the romantic Scheuling Forest along the Themed Trail "Retracing the footsteps of the Strasser Singers" to the Forest Festival Area.
This is surrounded by fully equipped rustic wooden cabins and a concert stage. Special lighting turns this beautiful spot in the forest into a relaxing, almost mystical location. The wooden cabins are set up so that visitors can sit comfortably with tables and chairs, wrap themselves in warm blankets and enjoy the culinary delights on offer. Listen to the music, enjoy the performances and simply find time for oneself and the family.
