On a guided town tour held by the Hall-Wattens Tourist Board you will find out about the rich history of Hall in Tirol and the most important sights. The existence and development of the town is closely connected with salt mining in the Halltal valley. As a result of this development, the town charter was granted in 1303. Moreover, the first Guldiner, a large silver coin replacing the golden Gulden, was coined in 1486. It was made of the Schwaz silver exploited in the region and became the predecessor of the American dollar!
