Vinyasa (sometimes known as Vinyasa Flow, Flow or Power Yoga) is considered a "moving meditation" and promotes harmony and balance, grace and fluidity. The postures are coordinated so that you move seamlessly from one asana to another. Each movement is initiated in perfect synchronicity to the rhythm of your own breath. Vinyasa honors the changing nature of things - we take a posture, stay and go. There is an opportunity to notice how we move and what moves us. Vinyasa promotes "flow state" awareness, where everything feels relaxed and connected - what yogis call "effortless effort" , improved coordination and a more balanced body.
