Bundesmusikkapelle Hippach

Description

The oldest piece of evidence for the existence of the Musikkapelle Hippach is an old large drum, which was made in 1845. This year was thus taken as the official founding year, although a so-called "Holzmusik" existed much earlier. Since many musicians were prisoners of war, the 100th anniversary was celebrated in 1949 with a delay of four years in connection with the first district music festival. After the new acquisition of the entire instrumentarium in 1966, the music comrades built the music pavilion on their own in 1970.
