Climbing & via Ferratas

Training for body and mind!

Climbing is fun, trains muscles & stamina, strengthens self-confidence and promotes well-being. Working in harmony with rock and stone also gives strength for everyday life. All outdoor enthusiasts and summer sports enthusiasts are well catered for in the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region, because this is the home of climbing.

NEW: Rope suspension bridge on the Zimmereben via ferrata

The new “Himmelsbrücke" bridge on the Zimmereben via ferrata is a 48-metre-long rope suspension bridge that floats high above Mayrhofen and offers breathtaking panoramic views. As the first of its kind, it leads directly into the guest garden of Gasthaus Zimmereben – combining alpine adventure with a well-earned culinary break.

☼ ☼ ☼ The Zimmereben via ferrata has one more attraction! The so-called “sky bridge” is approx. 35-40 m long and is the first rope suspension bridge that leads into a guest garden ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

What you should know: Working in conjunction with the Alpine Club Zillertal Section and some hardworking mountain guides, Mayrhofen-Hippach Tourism Association has succeeded in opening up some new climbing and bouldering areas since 2018. As the climbing areas in Ginzling and Zillergrund are all located on private property, considerate behaviour (waste disposal, noise prevention, use of designated parking spaces,...) are basic prerequisites for ensuring access to the climbing and bouldering area in future. We ask you to take heed of the prevailing avalanche situation in late winter and springtime! Moreover, please respect any terrain closures that may be in place in individual areas!
