Attention non-skiers, epicures, those who seek peace and quiet, and those who want to spend some time off-piste but high up in the mountains! The Mayrhofner Bergbahnen WinterHikingPaths, on both Mount Penken and Mount Ahorn, offer people of all ages beautiful places to relax and unwind.
Winterwandern Filzenkogel
WinterHikingPath Ahorn - Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Zillertal Alps and the Stilluptal. The WinterHikingPath Ahorn starts at the Ahornbahn mountain station and leads past the Zillertal viewing platform, the FalknerOase and continues down to the 8SB Ahorn valley station. The ride in the chairlift is included in the hiker ticket! (Duration approx. 1 hour).
The WinterHikingPath Filzenkogel offers a unique mountain experience with breathtaking views. Start at Ahornbahn mountain station, go past the Zillertal viewing platform and from there you can get tot he WinterHikingPath Filzenkogel. Tip: Take a short break in our leisure and relaxation areas.
WinterHikingPath Penken - The WinterHikingPath Penken impresses with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Starting at the Kombibahn mountain station the tour leads to the Penkenjoch and back again. This leisurely hike offers some spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Please note that the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen hiker ticket is not valid for the Finkenberger Almbahnen. (Duration approx. 1 hour).
NEW: BergWaldWeg on Mount Penken - Hike from the Penkenbahn mountain station to the middle station of the Finkenberger Almbahnen. Along the new created BergWaldWeg you can enjoy the idyllic landscape and the wonderful views of Mount Ahorn and Stilluptal opposite. Duration: about 1,5 hours (4,7 km) Our tip: Take the Finkenberger Almbahn up to the Penkenjoch and take the WinterHiking Path Penken back to the Kombibahn Penken, which takes you back to the Penkenbahn. Or you can take the Finkenberger Almbahn to the valley station and take the bus (not included in the ticket price) back to Mayrhofen.
