The mountaineering village of Ginzling at 1,000 metres above sea level is a magnet for hikers, climbers and mountain sports enthusiasts, especially in the summer months. In winter, the village is transformed into a romantic winter wonderland.

Tip: Why not take a day off from skiing and explore Ginzling Winter Magic with family or friends? It's well worth it!

Due to weather conditions, the activities tobogganing, cross-country skiing, skiing, snowshoeing, ski touring and snow tubing are currently not possible!

The 3 km long toboggan run starts at Tristenbachalm at 1,200 m. The run is groomed regularly.

Tristenbachalm opening times:
Monday to Friday: from 18.00 hrs
Saturday: from 12.00 to 19.00 hrs
Sunday: closed

Toboggans can be rent from € 3,00 per per. on Tristenbachalm.

Snowtubing is a new kind of snow fun in Mayrhofen-Hippach.
The air-filled tyres are used to whizz down a specially prepared snowtubing track at Ginzling Winter Magic.

A wonderful alternative to other snow sports, with a fun factor that goes off the chart!

Prices & opening times:
daily from 13.30 to 16.30 hrs

Ticket for one hour: € 8,00
Ticket for half an hour: € 5,00

Ski Touring

To enjoy ski touring safely, it is important to acquire solid basic training in mountaineering with touring skis.

The following courses have been introduced for this purpose:

  • Introductory course on Thursdays with ski touring equipment and mountain guides.
  • Guided ski tour on Fridays

Guided snowshoe hikes

Every Tuesday, you have the opportunity to take part in a guided snowshoe hike.

The tour starts at the Nature Park House and leads through the winter landscapes in and around Ginzling.

Floiten lift

Floiten lift in Ginzling is ideal for beginners. The drag lift transports you comfortably to the top of the wide slope. 
The lift is free for all users aged up to 16 years!

Opening times:

Daily from 13.30 to 16.30 hrs
also during holiday periods from 10.00 to 12.00 hrs - min. 10 persons
Night skiing everay Friday min. 10 persons from 19.30 to 22.00 hrs

Ginzling cross country ski trail

Enjoy authentic winters and a gentle work-out at the same time.

The classic cross country ski trail measuring 6.5 kilometres in length offers perfect training opportunities.

How do I get to Ginzing?


  • Car from Mayrhofen along the B 169 to Ginzling. Free parking is available at the Mature Park House, music pavilion, outside Alt-Ginzling Guesthouse and near the church.
  • Bus route number 4102 takes you directly from Mayrhofen to Ginzling Winter Magic (get off at Nature Park House).

TIP: All persons with alpine skis or snowboard equipment, a valid lift pass or guest card for the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region can travel free on this bus service from 7th December to 15th April.
