The marksmen are the bearers of tradition, culture and customs in the country and in the villages, and they make their contribution to church and secular festivals and celebrations. Young and old are involved in the Schützen, help shape village life and put themselves at the service of the community. In our hectic and fast-moving times, it should be the task of the marksmen to maintain tradition, culture and customs and to pass them on to future generations. What we have inherited from our ancestors must be preserved and passed on.
