Wirtshaus zum Griena

The historic Wirtshaus zum Griena, which dates back to the 17th century, is located in the quiet village of Dorf Haus in Mayrhofen in the Zillertal. The history of the former farmhouse goes back many hundreds of years. Formerly used as a residence and later as a guesthouse, the “Griena” eventually became an inn. Today it is a centuries-old, listed gem with the oldest parlors in the Zillertal. The rustic character of the cozy inn is unmistakable. Wooden tables, tiled stoves, the old vaulted ceiling - simply unique. The Wirtshaus zum Griena has stood for good Austrian hospitality for many years. The food here is still cooked according to old recipes. The small and fine selection of dishes is freshly prepared every day with lots of love. All the products used come from the region. Wine lovers are also catered for and have the opportunity to browse through the extensive range of wines.
