With every hike, you collect stamps at participating mountain huts and alpine eateries, earning a hiking badge in bronze, silver or gold as your reward. It is a great way to make hiking in Tyrol a truly special experience for families, leisure walkers and mountain enthusiasts.

  • Silver badge: from 10 collected stamps

The badges are lovely keepsakes from your walks in Zillertal and can be picked up at the tourist offices in Mayrhofen and Ramsau.

How the hiking pass works

You can pick up the Hiking Pass free of charge from the tourist offices in Mayrhofen and Hippach, or have it sent to you by post.

Collecting your stamps is simple:

  • Pick up or request your hiking pass

  • Head out on hikes in the Zillertal and visit participating huts and alpine eateries

  • Collect a stamp at each hut

  • Receive your bronze, silver or gold hiking badge as your reward

The Hiking Pass is valid indefinitely and can be used across several holidays.

Over 30 mountain huts and alpine eateries in the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region are currently part of the Hiking Pass scheme.
