SPORTY 5,5 km DOWN TO THE VALLEY
At first glance, the Ahorn is known as the family mountain of the Mayrhofen ski resort – but it also offers plenty for more ambitious skiers and snowboarders.
One of the highlights is the 5.5 km long valley run on the Ahorn, a rewarding challenge for experienced winter sports enthusiasts. The varied descent winds its way down the mountain while opening up spectacular views across the Zillertal Alps, making it one of the most scenic long runs in the Mayrhofen ski area.
The perfect start to your ski day is the Ahornbahn – Austria’s largest cable car. Within just a few minutes, it takes you directly from Mayrhofen up to the Ahorn, where wide slopes, breathtaking panoramas and sporty runs await.

During the winter season, the Ahornbahn will be operating from 7.30 a.m.! Take advantage of this service and enjoy the perfectly prepared pistes of the 5,5 km long ValleyRun Ahorn early in the morning. Please note our currently open lifts and slopes!
