Safe on the slopes

FIS piste-rules in Tyrol

Numerous accidents on the slopes happen because skiers and snowboarders overestimate each other, are careless or ski too fast.

The Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS) has created 10 rules of conduct that ensure better safety on the slopes. The most important rules are being considerate, speed adapted to ability, observing signs and instructions, as well as the obligation to provide assistance and carry ID with you.
