Winter activities in the mountaineering village of Ginzling

In the Zillertal Mountaineering village of Ginzling, Winter Magic offers a whole world of winter activities away from the big ski resorts. The toboggan run, free snowtubing, ski touring routes, snowshoe trails, cross-country track and the family-friendly Floitenlift sit right in the heart of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park — ideal for families, beginners and anyone who loves taking things at their own pace.

Tobogganing

The 2,1 km long toboggan run starts at Tristenbachalm at 1,200 m. The run is groomed regularly.

Snowtubing

Snowtubing is a new form of winter fun in Mayrhofen-Hippach. The air-filled tyres are used to whizz down a specially prepared snowtubing track at Ginzling Winter Magic. Snowtube use is free of charge.

Ski Touring

To enjoy ski touring safely, it is important to acquire solid basic training in mountaineering with touring skis.

  • Introductory course on Thursdays with ski touring equipment and mountain guides.

Snowshoe hikes

Every Tuesday & Thursday, you have the opportunity to take part in a guided snowshoe hike. The tour leads through the winter landscapes in and around Ginzling.

Floiten lift

Floiten lift in Ginzling is ideal for beginners. The drag lift transports you comfortably to the top of the wide slope.

Cross-country ski trail

Enjoy authentic winters and a gentle work-out at the same time. The classic cross-country ski trail, which is prepared for both classic cross-country skiing and skating, is 7,1 kilometres long and offers excellent training opportunities. More details on Ginzling cross-country ski trail

How do I get to Ginzing?

GINZLING WINTER MAGIC IS ACCESSIBLE VIA:

  • Bus route number 4102 takes you directly from Mayrhofen to Ginzling Winter Magic (get off at the Nature Park House).

  • Car from Mayrhofen along the B 169 to Ginzling. Free parking is available at the Nature Park House.

TIP: All persons with alpine skis or snowboard equipment, a valid lift pass or guest card for the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region can travel free on this bus service from 5th December 2025 to 12th April 2026.
