As a descendant of the original owner, Emperor Maximilian I, I would like to welcome you to Tratzberg Castle on behalf of my family! The romantic hunting lodge of the Habsburgs is considered a true Renaissance jewel among the historic buildings of Europe and is one of the most valuable and best-preserved cultural assets of its time.
The imperial palace has been in my family for over 300 years. It is my personal mission to ensure the preservation of this unique heritage for future generations. Every year we open our doors anew to take our visitors on an exciting journey into the past.
