This accessibility statement applies to the website mayrhofen.at.

The website is a joint offering by the Mayrhofen-Hippach Tourist Board (for the editorial information section) and Zillertal Booking GmbH (for the integrated e-commerce and booking section). Both partners are committed to making their respective web offerings accessible.

1. Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA, as well as the European Standard EN 301 549.

Comprehensive technical measures have been taken to ensure that all content and functions are accessible. This includes:

  • Full keyboard operability of all interactive elements

  • Sufficient color contrast in accordance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA

  • Compatibility with common assistive technologies (screen readers, voice control, etc.)

  • Responsive design for various screen sizes and magnifications

  • Clearly structured content with semantic HTML

2. Non-accessible Content

The content listed below is currently not fully accessible for the following reasons:

a) Technical Implementation & Booking System (Responsibility: Zillertal Booking GmbH)

  • PDF Vouchers:

    The booking vouchers (booking confirmations) generated by the booking system are provided as PDF documents and currently do not fully comply with WCAG criteria regarding structure, alternative texts for embedded graphics, and machine-readable tags for screen readers (Affected WCAG criteria: 1.3.1, 1.4.5, 4.1.2).

    Alternative access:

    All essential information from the voucher is also included in your booking confirmation via email in accessible HTML format and can be viewed in your customer account. Our technical service provider is working on a solution for automated accessible generation.

b) Editorial Content (Responsibility: Mayrhofen-Hippach Tourist Board)

  • PDF Documents:

    Some PDF documents available for download on the website (e.g., brochures, maps) are not fully accessible (e.g., missing tags or alternative texts). We are making efforts to provide new PDF documents in an accessible format and to gradually replace existing documents.

  • Images and Graphics:

    Some older images and graphics may still lack meaningful alternative texts. These will be added during ongoing editorial reviews.

  • Videos:

    Embedded videos currently do not consistently feature subtitles or audio descriptions.

3. Preparation and Review of this Statement

This accessibility statement was prepared on June 26, 2025, and last updated on September 25, 2026.

The evaluation of the technical foundation’s accessibility was carried out by the system operator (Alturos Destinations GmbH) using:

  • Self-assessment using automated tools (WAVE, AXE, Lighthouse)

  • Random manual testing with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver)

  • Keyboard navigation tests and color contrast checks
