A Journey Through the Tyrolean Night Sky
With the multimedia show "Above the Peaks, the Stars," viewers are literally introduced to new galaxies in the local sky. Thanks to incredible footage, the award-winning astrophotographer Norbert Span takes us on a special journey this evening at the Tux Center. A journey through the night to constellations such as Draco, Giraffe, and Bootes, into distant galaxies, and along familiar mountain silhouettes like Hohe Munde, Olperer, and the Three Peaks.
The Alps are indeed one of the few places in Central Europe where the starry sky still reveals its full splendor. At the same time, Norbert Span answers the crucial questions: When does the first star shine after sunset? What does it take to photograph a constellation? And how many stars are really in the sky? This is a show for everyone for whom a night means much more than just darkness!
