Travel relaxed: On busy visitor days, parking spaces at Schlegeis may become overloaded. We therefore recommend traveling by public transport. From Mayrhofen station, line 4102 runs directly via Ginzling to the Schlegeis Reservoir without transfers. Important: When traveling by public transport, the toll portion is waived, but the bus ticket is still required.

Between Glacier Views and Lakeside Vibes Look forward to a summery morning at the Schlegeis Reservoir filled with nature, culinary delights, family activities, and fascinating insights into the world of hydropower. Together with Radio Tirol and local partners, an exciting experience awaits visitors of all ages. The ORF Radio Tirol team will be broadcasting live from the Schlegeis Reservoir as part of the summer tour.
What to expect on site: Discover Hydropower At the VERBUND promotion truck, enjoy puzzles, skill games, and small prizes. Free guided tours of the Schlegeis dam offer captivating insights into one of the region’s most impressive engineering feats.
Experience Nature The nature park guides invite you to guided hikes around Schlegeis at 10:00, 12:00, and 14:00. For children, there’s a crafting and creativity station, plus a 50% discount on the exhibition at the Ginzling Nature Park House.
Movement and Action At the Schlegeis dam, the adventure offerings come with a 10% summer freshness discount, featuring exciting sports highlights. Included are the Flying Fox and Giant Swing, and for kids, there’s also a bouncy castle.
Dominikushütte – Tradition and Sweet Treats Enjoy live Kaiserschmarrn made fresh in a large pan. As a special treat, every child receives an ice cream after their meal – a sweet moment for young and old alike.
Helmut’s Fisher Hut – Culinary Tradition Look forward to fresh trout served in a unique setting. Weather permitting, there will also be Melchermuas as in the old days – hearty, regional, and full of hut charm.
Zamsereck – Summery Moments of Enjoyment All day long, enjoy a 1+1 Happy Hour on selected drinks like Johannes-Hüttenspritz, Wildberry Lillet, and Aperol Spritz. Alongside, Schlegeis Burgers will be served as finger food while supplies last.
